Edwin Michael Christoffer

Edwin Michael Christoffer is a German composer, lyricist, and singer based in Hamburg. Born in 1958 in Lengerich (Westphalia), he has been active in music and cultural life for several decades.
Together with his wife Janne, he ran one of Hamburg’s most iconic tapas bars, Singin Tapas, from 2005 to 2025 — a venue known for its unique blend of music, cuisine, and live performance.
As a songwriter and lyricist, he has written for renowned artists including Heidi Kabel, Peter Beil, and Klaus & Klaus, among many others. His most widely known composition, “Hier bin ich Robinson,” gained international recognition through its long-standing use by Robinson Clubs worldwide.
From 1989 to 1992, he was part of the musical project Christoffer & Quinton, releasing the albums Life in the Shadows and Tears of Light, which included the single You and Me. His solo work includes the album Kleines Vielleicht (2000).
Between 1993 and 2005, he worked as a studio owner and later founded his own publishing company, Adagio Music, as well as the label Adagio Records.
Today, he continues to perform as a “Rentertainer” — combining live performance, DJ work, and musical storytelling — remaining an active and creative presence on stage.
